CALL TO ACTION IN SOLIDARITY WITH RNC (REPUBLICAN NATIONAL
CONVENTION) PROTESTS
With the Republican National Convention invading New York City in less than three weeks, the time to take action is now! While activists are resisting the RNC from August 27th through 30th, the Poppycock Collective, a newly formed group of local anti-authoritarians, is interested in activating that resistance here in Champaign-Urbana.
What better time for local activists and organizations to highlight the link between their work and the larger picture.
We are asking local organizers and activists to come together on Monday, August 16th at 7PM at the Independent Media Center to brainstorm ways to bring the RNC protest home, and relate national issues to our local community, culminating in several days of action.
