Open Panel Discussion on Public School Funding Reform |

The Coalition for School Funding Reform has invited five guests to be part of an open panel discussion on public school funding reform. |
September 9th, 7:00p.m. Tony Noel Technology Center, Parkland College
Panelists: Sen. Rick Winkel, Rep. Bill Black, Director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, James Nowlan, Urbana Superintendant, Gene Amberg, and Research Specialist for the Illinois Education Association, Larry Frank
The panelists will be addressed with three questions followed by questions from the audience.
1. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the current funding system for public schools in Illinois.
2. What are the current challenges facing education given the current state of school funding? How will the quality of education be affected if the current funding situation remains static?
3. How will house bill 750 effect your constituents? |
