Hundreds of people gathered in Union Square on 6/30 to protest the so-called handover of power from the US occupation forces to a new Iraqi government. that occurred on 6/28. Despite that the US military is scaling back its operations, The protesters demand an extended presence in the occupied country and the escalation of American troop deployment in the region. Tim Mc'Aory one of the protesters told us that he demands a "clear victory" before we go home. nothing less will do! others say that
we need to defeat terrorism on it's own ground.the group of several hundred protested for almost four hours. then went in search of an f&b free food event. |
