The Illinois Disciples Foundation will host “Against The Stream: Orientation to ‘Uprising Today’” on Tuesday, June 15th at 7pm at the IDF. Rev. Jim Holiman will be discussing the story of the praxis of people of faith and conscience for peace with justice. He will focus on the strategies of social justice using left-wing Christian theology. The event is free and open to the public. This event is the kick-off for the “Uprising Today” series occurring on Sunday afternoons starting June 20th.
