I went back to post a correction that was issued for a story on campaign financing by Center for Responsive Politics. I received this error message:
Warning: readfile("../local/webcast/cache/article1769-webcast.html") - No such file or directory in
/extra0/var/www/urbana/webcast/front.php3 on line 91
I didn't get the story and still need to make the correction. |

I may have found the problem. The story above is right below the one by Robert Meade that was unhidden pending further action by the Steering Comm. All stories below it have similar error messages. All stories above it appear OK. |

I recreated the cached version of the article:

Technically, the problem is that when I try to refresh all the articles,
buggy PHP runs out of memory. Right now I am doing them one at a time.
It takes a special kind of genius to write code as poor as Active's.

I ran my little script to recreate the cache files for all 1840 articles.
It didn't take too long and it's done now.
I am pleasantly surprised to see that outside people reference old articles! |
