Allied Media Conference, June 18-20
The time to register for the 2004 AMC is now! The
session descriptions are now up and the cheap rooms are going fast.
If you dig on independent media, learning new things and meeting
cool people, check out the website and make
plans to be in Bowling Green, Ohio, for June 18-20.
Workshops include:
- Fostering a Culture of Inclusion in Independent Media Projects
- Graf Writing 101
- Hard News Editing
- How to Effectively Use Volunteers
- How to Run an Activist Media Collective
- Incorporation as a non-profit organization
- Independent Media Coverage of the Republican National Convention
- Making Theory and Analysis Accessible with the Pink Bloque
- Radio With a Kick - and How to Make It
- Stencil Pirates GO! - D.I.Y. Stencilmaking
- The Underground's Railroad: Out of the underground, and into the
light of creative and financial independence
- Video Interviewing: Background and Basic How-To
There will also be a caucus for U.S. IMCs and a discussion of
Indymedia coverage of the upcoming Republican National Convention.
And, as usual, everyone at the conference will be treated to a fun
concert, a comprehensive film festival, and a bowling party. |
