A slide presentation about Cambodia's history, culture and current challenges by Bhavia Wagner, founder of Friendship with Cambodia a non-profit humanitarian organization. Bhavia returned from Cambodia in March after leading a study tour for Global Exchange. Her presentation includes empowering women in Cambodia, reponse to the AIDS crisis, helping US deportees and the landmine situtation. The event will be on May 11th at 7pm at the Illinois Disciples Foundation (NW corner of Springfield and Wright St. in Champaign). |
