A call to all peace and antiwar activists, organizations and friends: the recent escalation of the war in Iraq, the U.S. bombing on Wednesday of a mosque in Falluja and the many civilian deaths and injuries that followed, and the rising death toll across Iraq underline the urgent need to renew our demand to end the occupation.

In light of the events taking place in Iraq and in concert with the antiwar movement across the country, the Chicago Coalition Against War and Racism is calling for an Emergency Demonstration to Demand U.S. Troops Out of Iraq Now.
The demonstration will begin at 4:30 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. this Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Federal Plaza at Dearborn and Adams. The action is open to all groups and individuals who want the U.S. out of Iraq now and support the right of the Iraqi people to run their own country. |
