Who Owns and Controls Our Local Media? Find out on Mediageek, Friday, 4/2, 5:30 PM on WEFT 90.1 FM Current rating: 3
31 Mar 2004

On this week's mediageek radioshow we'll do a survey of local media owners:

  • who they are
  • where they're located
  • what else they own
  • and what they plan to do...

This is information you won't find by reading the News-Gazette or listening to any other radio station.

During this time of great concern over media concentration, find out who pulls the strings and controls the pocketbooks of your local radio, TV and newspapers. The answers might surprise you.

Tune in to mediageek, this Friday, April 2, and every Friday, 5:30 PM on community radio WEFT 90.1 FM.

This is also WEFT's Spring Pledge Drive, so don't just tune in, but give WEFT a call to make a pledge of financial support to keep community radio on the air and vibrant: 217-359-9338

Mediageek is a weekly survey of grassroots, and independent media, and our media environment.

Archive editions of the mediageek radioshow are available at the mediageek website in the mp3 and ogg vorbis formats.
