As a follow up to the thermometer ban, HCWH/Jobs with Justice and the Chicago Recycling Coalition are organizing community thermometer swaps. The first swap will be held on the westside of Chicago at the Jorge Prieto Health Center on September 8th.
We have also been able to secure mercury free thermometers and free vouchers for thermometers from Osco Drug. As a result, Osco drug will supply the project with enough thermometers to hold exchanges at their stores which are through Chicago neighborhoods as well as at the health clinics.
