Boycott the Democratic Party for Single Payer Health Care. Current rating: 0
14 Mar 2004
It is time to send the Democratic Party a clear and concise message that we the American public will not vote for any Democrats or write checks for any Democrats or volunteer for any Democrats until Presidential Candidate Senator John Kerry, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe and the majority of elected Democrats as well as elected delegates to the National and state conventions swear an oath to make the "single payer universal health care system" the official health care plank in the Democratic party platform and campaign making the "single payer universal health care system" a central part of all Democratic party communications to the American public leading up to the 2004 elections.

Boycott the Democratic Party for Single Payer Health Care.

By Lloyd Hart

It is time to send the Democratic Party a clear and concise message that we the American public will not vote for any Democrats or write checks for any Democrats or volunteer for any Democrats until Presidential Candidate Senator John Kerry, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe and the majority of elected Democrats as well as elected delegates to the National and state conventions swear an oath to make the "single payer universal health care system" the official health care plank in the Democratic party platform and campaign making the "single payer universal health care system" a central part of all Democratic party communications to the American public leading up to the 2004 elections.

I'm asking for all those that agree with the above statement to sign this national boycott petition in order to advance the cause of the health-care system where the only ones that will profit from the pain and suffering of the American public by providing health care to the American public will be the doctors, nurses and hospitals.

It is time to stop piting American Business big and small against their employees, the American people. Creating the kind of resentment and protracted labor unrest that hampers America's productivity and the inability to adapt to the abandonment of the American economy by pirate corporations that move their operations offshore and into the Global South to capitalize on zero health, labor and environmental standards.

If the American public had access to high-quality universal health care that the single payer universal health care system provides Americans would be able to reorganize their local economies to work for their local communities without the undo suffering caused by the loss of health care coverage when large scale employers abandon big and small communities across America forcing the American public on to the secondary and very low tier waiting list Medicaid health care system that is now being abandoned by doctors and hospitals all across America.

It is now time to demand your healthcare rights by demanding from the presidential candidate and the political party that wants to replace George Bush in the White House and that claims to care about the American public (but yet refuses to back the bedrock policy of universal health-care coverage that all Western democracies and some Third World nations have discovered to be a human and democratic right)
to back a health-care system that:

Has been successfully tested for 46 years.

That distributes high-quality health care to all but yet costs half of what Americans are paying in the U.S. where 43 million Americans are left uncovered.

That produces 20 percent healthier people under the same industrial and domestic conditions yet in a much more extreme environment.

That produces a superior maternity survival rate.

That produces a superior infant survival rate.

That produces longer and better quality life spans.

That has survived the degradation and economic hardship brought on by U.S. and Canada Free Trade Deal and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

Sign this boycott petition by sending me an e-mail @ dadapop (at) dadapop.com with your name. I will then publish the list on my web site http://dadapop.com as well as at http://indymedia.org . You will then be able to take the list and e-mail it to friends who can periodically send it back to me so I can update the master list. As the list grows I will then send it to the entire Democratic Party candidacy for the 2004 elections. A PDF downloadable petition will be available soon at http://dadapop.com to expand the petition drive to those without Internet access.

Don't settle for Bush lite. Make your vote, your money and your time work for you by demanding the Democrats actually do something for you. Make Democrats work for your support. When the Democrats come calling simply asked them:

"What have you done for me lately?"
