RECLAIM THE STREETS!
Final Update
On Friday, July 20th, join us in a Reclaim The Streets! Party in downtown Naperville, Illinois. We've been planning for around two and a half months now, and everything has been going incredibly well.
We'll be meeting at the Naperville Pavillion (near Main & Jackson) at 6:30pm on Friday, July 20th. Everyone is welcome to come to what is shaping up to be one incredible event.
If you have any questions, either check out our website at http://www.rtstreets.org, or you can email us at rtstreets (at) onebox.com, or leave us a voice mail at (630)536-2701 ext. 3858.
Expect anything, but here's a little info on how to prepare:
General Partiers: Meet at the pavillion, at 6:30pm. We recommend that you at least bring a backpack, a bandanna, and a couple bottles of water. If you can, bring some of your own entertainment, whether it's an accoustic guitar, a boombox, a drum, or whatever you can think of. Some quick sources of food would also be a good idea.
Radical Cheerleaders: Bring your pom pons and your cheers. The degree to which you want to dress like a cheerleader is up to you. NOTE: Radical Cheerleading is not just for women!
Street Medics: If you want to be a street medic, you want to be as prepared as possible. If you have been trained in being a street medic before, then you might want to make a patch
or an armband with a red cross on it so people know that you are a medic. NOTE: If you have not been trained as a street medic, we won't stop you from being a street medic, but be forewarned that you may end up having to deal with a situation you're not trained to deal with. If that happens, FIND A TRAINED STREET MEDIC IMMEDIATELY!
Legal Team: Legal observers should contact randallmorris1 (at) juno.com as soon as possible.
Independant Media: People who want to do their own media should bring whatever equipment they're comfortable in using. Video cameras, still cameras, notepads, etc.
Critical Mass: Bring your bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, or any other non-motorized transportation. Meet at the Naperville Train Station at 6:15pm. If you're coming from Union Station, take the Metra Burlington Northern Santa Fe Line, lines 1261, 1267 and 1277 all should get there in time.
See you in the streets!
