Illinois Lieutant Governor is making waves with a proposal to double income taxes on income over $250,000 annually. The income would go to property tax breaks and school funding, but he needs to amend the Illinois constitution to get there. |

This is nothing more than redistribution of weatlh. How would that be fair? It's like saying "You have more money than I do, therefore I am entitled to some of yours." Where does this kind of thinking come from? |

Our economy and our current tax system are also about redistribution of wealth, from those with little to those with a lot. Fariness only comes when we unite and collect taxes so we can have things like public education, health care, parks, roads, etc.
We're all better off when we're all better off. |
