I received notice today, via Steven Aftergood's "Secrecy News", that this long awaited report on the repeated failures in National Missile Defense testing, including the dumbing-down of the tests themselves in a weak attempt to make it APPEAR that the system MIGHT work someday, has been released. Be advised that the pdf download of the report itself is a big one (9544k). The analysis offered by a link on the webpage is much shorter and is a good summary of the findings of the Coyle Report itself. ML |
The Committee on Government Reform has obtained a Pentagon report critical of the national missile defense testing program. The report, compiled by Philip Coyle, former Director of Operational Test and Evaluation in the Defense Department, reveals severe deficiencies in the Pentagon’s plan to test missile defenses.
At the request of Rep. John F. Tierney, the Special Investigations Division has analyzed the Coyle Report. Click here to read this analysis: http://www.house.gov/reform/min/pdf/nmdcoyleanalysis.pdf
