In Whose Honor? takes a critical look at the long-running practice of
"honoring" American Indians by using them as mascots and nicknames in
sports. In Whose Honor? examines the issues of race, stereotypes,
minority representation and the powerful effects of mass media
imagery. This award-winning documentary aired nationally on the PBS
series Point of View in 1997 and was recognized by the Columbia
University Graduate School of Journalism as one of the most
outstanding programs on race in American television in 1997-1998.
