The latest Shortwave Report (September 12) is up at the websitehttp://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.2MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (29:00) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, China Radio International, the Voice of Russia, Radio Deutsche Welle, Spanish National Radio, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- Many social organizations asked the Dutch government to give developing nations a chance at the WTO meeting in Cancun. At Cancun, a S Korean protestor killed himself and demonstrators clashed with police. In Columbia, police have blamed left-wing rebels for a terrorist bombing. UN Sec General Kofi Annan says that the UN must be radically reformed, pointing out that the Security Council is not democratic.
From China- Israeli Prime Minister Sharon has been in India, making agricultural and military deals, much to the consternation of Pakistan. Then an analysis of Bush’s recent speech about rebuilding Iraq, and Germany’s refusal to send troops to Iraq.
From Russia- The world has not forgotten the absence of WMDs in Iraq, as Bush’s own advisors will remind him this week. Then a review of world reaction to Bush’s plea for assistance in the wake of the US/British invasion and occupation of Iraq.
From Germany- The new Prime Minister of Palestine, selected by Arafat, is facing the same problems that Abbas did, before he resigned last week. This German story offers some background on who the new leader is and what his skills are.
From Spain- A Spanish judge locked up a reporter from Al-Jazeera TV network. Nelson Mandela spoke at a Global Nature Parks meeting in S Africa, saying he was pleased that efforts to end poverty and preserve the environment were being recognized as interdependent. Then a press review on the situation in Iraq. Columbian troops continued exterminating rebel forces, and Chile braced for the 30th anniversary of the coup that put Pinochet in power.
From Cuba- Columbian President Uribe has publicly declared open season on Human Rights workers in his country. Former UN Weapons Inspector Hans Blix has asserted that Iraq’s weapons declarations may have been true.
