Reclaim The Streets! Organizing Update

For anyone who's been wondering, here's an update on how organizing for the Reclaim The Streets! party in Naperville, IL on July 20th has been going. Once again, our website is www.rtstreets.org, and you can reach us by email at rtstreets (at) onebox.com.
It's less than three weeks away, and organizing is going incredibly well. We've got at least 6 DJ's lined up, some bands, a travelling circus, radical cheerleaders, and more. A lot of people out in the Chicago 'burbs are really excited about this, and tons of people have gotten involved. We've got legal observers and street medics, although we could always use more. We're even planning a Reclaim The Streets! benefit party. We'll keep you posted on that.
We've decided on a meeting time and place for the RTS! party. We're going to be meeting at the pavillion on the south side (left) of Jackson, near Main and Jackson (adjacent to the Naperville Public Library) at 6:30pm on July 20th. We'll be updating the website with new information and new flyers really soon, now.
It's not too late to get involved. If you want to help organize, or if you're a DJ or in a band (or know someone who is), if you can maybe work out a Food Not Bombs feeding that day, if you want to build puppets or banners, or if you want to help out in any other way, let us know! You can either contact us by email (rtstreets (at) onebox.com), or you can join our organizing mailing list by sending an email to rts-organize-subscribe (at) yahoogroups.com.
This whole event is really shaping up to be pretty spectacular. If you can't make it out to Genoa, Italy for the protests against the G8 summit, or if you just want to experience something new, check out our Reclaim The Streets! party on July 20th.
