Who's the Real Enemy? Current rating: 0

I wonder how many people realize that the Democratic Party of Illinois actually changed state law to allow Bush onto the ballot here in Illinois in 2004.

The republicans were so excited about holding their national nominating convention in New York, in the month of September, that they missed the filing deadline here in Illinois. Bush could not have legally appeared on the Illinois ballot had the Democratic Leadership not bent over backwards to help the Republicans. Here are some sources:
Senate Bill 2123: (93rd General Assembly)

Bush on the Ballot Bill Passes with No Debate:
http://djwinfo.blogspot.com/2004/06/bush-on-ballot-bill-passes-with-no.html

In 2004, Jeff Trigg, of the Libertarian Party said, “The Democrats cooperated with the Republicans to put them on the ballot. Doesn’t that tell you who their real enemy is? They had a perfect opportunity to keep the person who they say is their worst enemy off the ballot, but they didn’t do it. They willfully went along with it so President Bush could take advantage of the 9/11 anniversary in New York. Yet they are challenging Ralph Nader, the Green Party and Tom Mackaman. That tells you their real enemy is voter choice.â€

That same year, Blagojevich told the Chicago Sun-Times, "The Senate must pass the bill..." "President Bush is the president of the United States. He belongs on the ballot. And let people have the free choice in November of who they want to lead our country for the next four years." Apparrently the same does not apply to the governor's race against Rich Whitney.

How do Republicans steal elections? Perahaps we should be asking the Democratic Leadership.

Bush lost Illinois anyhow. Dems seem currently to take right course at their top. So, why do you need to go back NOW, almost two years later, and what for?
