Introducing Palestine Solidarity Review
www.psreview.org
The launch issue of a new quarterly journal, Palestine Solidarity Review, is out. PSR is a collaborative effort of organizers active in Palestine solidarity in the United States.
The second Intifada has produced a resurgence of Palestine solidarity in the United States and around the world. Further, the Palestinian struggle has been and continues to be in the forefront of fighting imperialism and racism, and perhaps nowhere else in the world are these realities applied in such brute force. For this reason we think a journal focused primarily on Palestine, but relating to other issues, is important.
The past three years has seen a proliferation of organizing activity and infrastructure building in solidarity with Palestine. We believe analysis, discussion and a conscious effort to sum up experiences and relate them to a wider system of power is crucial for such organizing efforts to be maintained and advanced.
Palestine Solidarity Review attempts to provide a space for analysis and conversation relating specifically to Palestine but also to other local, regional and international struggles, not least of which is the ongoing attempt by the United States and the European powers to redraw the imperial map of the Middle East.
We welcome submissions in broad agreement with the mission statement of the journal in the form of essays, reviews, interviews, poetry or fiction, from the United States and around the world. We especially would like to encourage submissions from activists organizing in their respective universities, communities, unions, and high schools.
In solidarity,
The editors
