Excellent eye witness accounts can be found in *The Ghetto Fighters*, translated and edited by Meyer Barkai, LCCN 62-11331.
*The Ghetto Fighters* is an edited and translated version of *Seifer Milchamot Hagetaot*, edited by Izhak Zuckerman and Moshe Basak, published in Hebrew in Tel Aviv, Israel, by the Ghetto Fighters' House and Kibbutz Hameuchad.
It's a great book. Check it out. These were totally admirable people. They were brave, clever and resourceful fighters, fighting for a just cause. They were, in short, the Hamas and Hizbullah of their people and their day.
Do any of the apologists for Zionist aggression against the ghettos of Gaza and the West Bank also fault the Warsaw Ghetto fighters for "hiding among civilians"? Where? Let's see a reference. |
