INTERNATIONAL PEACE ACTION - May 3rd Current rating: 0
02 May 2003
The Works on Shirts Project invites you to take part in "WEARNICA", an international day of artistic reactions to the war in Iraq and continuing conflicts throughout the world.

The Works on Shirts Project has declared Saturday, May 3rd an "International Day of Artistic Reactions to War" On that day, individuals in cities around the world will form walking art galleries, wearing original works on shirts into museums and monuments, parks and shopping malls to help raise public awareness of the realities of war in our time.

We invite all of you to join us by sharing your opposition to war and your visions for peace with the world. Whether you participate as a group in a major cultural institution or simply wear your shirt as you go about your daily business, your vision will join thousands of others in reaching millions around the world.

After the show, The Works on Shirts Project will be hosting an online gallery of artwork from WEARNICA. Please be sure to take pictures of your shirt and your event, so we can share your personal reactions to war with the world.

For more information on how you can become a part of this historic event, please go to: http://www.worksonshirts.org or contact info@worksonshirts.org
