Any particular reason "Burlosconi Defeated" points to Spain rather than Italy or that "Hamas Elected" points approximately to western Turkey? Is that part of the joke?

That's what I get for doing a cartoon at 3am the night before a morning deadline. By the time I noticed my mistakes and omissions, it was too late. I was actually hoping nobody would notice (8-{. Ha!
I appreciate the benefit of the doubt extended by Let Me Guess, as well as the idea of the deliberately (and obviously) screwed up map that somehow escaped me at that late hour.
Perhaps the seed for a separate comic about geographic illiteracy has been planted... |
