Local resident selected for Racin for a Livin Competition for the 2007 NASCAR BUSCH Series Current rating: 0
11 Apr 2006
To Whom It May Concern:

Patrick Bruns who currently resides in Champaign, IL has been selected as one of the top fifty finalists for a new racing television reality show, aptly titled “Racin for a Livin”. The show, which is in pre-production, began with thousands of drivers who were selected for the show. Of those drivers, fifty ‘rookies’ will be selected to be part of an online voting process at the show’s web site, www.racinforalivin.com. Voting began on March 28, although the site is up and running now with a very popular forum. Near the end of July, the voting process will close, and the top twelve by popular vote will be invited to compete against each other for the coveted prize: a chance to drive in the NASCAR BUSCH Series in 2007.

The drivers come from all walks of life, and from all areas of the country, and even from Canada. A universal constant at any track are the stories of how drivers got their start in racing. Some followed in a family member’s tire tracks, or were inspired by some of the founding fathers of the sport. Ask a driver, and he or she will give you an entire map of the roads that led them to their first racecar ride. Many have been racing since before they could drive legally on the highways; some, like Patrick Bruns, are second generation racers who thrive to carry on the family tradition. Please support Patrick and begin voting on March 28, 2006.
