This Thursday's (3/30) Human Rights Film Series night has been CANCELLED.
The films--"Navigating the New Medicare Rx Law," "The Debate Over Plan B," and "Unregulated, Untested, Unsafe: The U.S. Gun Industry"--will hopefully be shown in a later Human Rights Film Series.
Champaign County Health Care Consumers, the organization facilitating this showing, is in mourning as one of their community organizers, Bill Mueller, passed away last weekend. Bill was also a longtime member of the IDF Board. His tireless commitment to health care justice and activism in Champaign-Urbana will be missed. Due to this week's tragic events, CCHCC and IDF have jointly decided to cancel the Human Rights Film Series showing on Thursday, March 30th.
The Human Rights Film Series will return next Thursday, April 6th, with the showing of "The Take."
Thank you for your understanding during this time of sorrow and remembrance.
