On Saturday, February 11th, the PRC will be hosting Iraq War veteran Dave Adams as he shares his experiences as a veteran and speaks out against the war. The event will begin at 2pm and will conclude with a discussion and a question and answer session.

Dave Adams is a recent veteran of the U.S.-led war on Iraq. Upon returning from service, he joined the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), a veteran organization dedicated to bringing home the troops and fighting for resources and support for recent veterans. For more information on IVAW,please visit their website at http://www.ivaw.net. Dave has been speaking out against the war by sharing his experiences as a soldier. Currently, Dave is an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Carbondale.

The event is being cosponsored by: Activist Forum, Anti-War Anti-Racism Effort (AWARE), Channing-Murray Foundation, Illinois Disciples Foundation, La Casa Cultural Latina, McKinley Foundation, Mennonite Church Peace and Justice Initiative Committee, U-C Friends Meeting, University YMCA, and Vietnam Veterans Against the War (CU Chapter).

**The event will be held in Wisegarver Lounge, located on the 1st floor of the Illinois Disciples Foundation (IDF). The IDF is located at the NW corner of Springfield and Wright in Champaign, only a block away from the U of I Quad. There is free parking and the IDF is located on many of the CU bus routes. The event is wheelchair accessible.

The Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative (PRC) is a multi-issue, multi-tactical activist organization. The PRC is a program of the Illinois Disciples Foundation and a Registered Student Organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Interested in getting involved in activism on campus? Check out our Semester Intro Meeting on Wednesday, February 15th from 7:30-8:30pm at the Illinois Disciples Foundation (located at NW corner of Springfield and Wright in Champaign, close to campus). Everyone is welcome and there will be free snacks!
