A call to aid on behalf of The Revolution Party |
Brothers and sisters, I am writing to you today on behalf of The Revolution. The Revolution is a broad-based, non-ideological, anti-authoritarian political party/organization, founded by cyberculture icon R.U. Sirius in 1998.
Our wish, essentially, is to provide a voice to counter-culturalists, sub-culturalists, civil libertarians, alt-culturalists, environmentalists, and anti-corporate activists who have been somewhat disenfranchised by the electoral process, or who perhaps find The Libertarian and Green parties a bit too rigid.
Our long-term goal is to become a sort of antithesis to the Christian Coalition. Where they've successfully politicized (turned into a potent grass-roots voting bloc) millions of right-wing conservatives, evangelicals, and fundamentalists, pushing pessimism, puritanism and fear, we wish to become catalysts of an avant-populist, libertarian-equalitarian-futurist coalition—a voting bloc powerful enough to scare the shit out of the mainstream and capable of electing our own officials.
We are now in the process of revising our 20 point platform, currently available online in its previous format at http://www.revolting.com. Our request is that you please, examine this platform and if any single point falls within your specific area of interest, please contact us (via revolting23@disinfo.net) with your insights, clarifications, policy ideas, related organizations, web links, or any feelings in general that you may have on the subject. We are also looking for additional points we may have overlooked. Your help is needed. We wish to have a platform that truly recognizes the positions of people like yourselves, and your input is vitally important, as is your support.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to hear from you soon. |
