Cope Cumpston won the race for the Urbana school board, defeating incumbent president C.K. Tina Gunsalus. Cope was endorsed by numerous progressives in Urbana. |

The vote count was:
Cope Cumpston 308 (52%)
Tina Gunsalus 283 (48%)
