(1) I'm not as certain as Brian that the death of Rachel Corrie was a murder. The US State Department and Congressmen from her home state, Washington, have called for a full investigation. If it turns out that the bulldozer operator knew she was there, then I hope they lock him away. But, given the armoring, the noise, restricted visibility from the cab, and Rachel's position behind the blade, it strikes me as at least as plausible that he didn't see or hear her than that he ran her down in cold blood in front of witnesses with a camera.
