The UCIMC librarians invite you a Mini Comix Workshop on Friday March 21st at 4-5:30pm.
This workshop concentrates on the "hows" and "whys" of making a DIY comic. Various techniques will be demonstrated, and emphasis will be put on the idea that you, yes YOU, can make your own comic! Please note: this workshop is not indended to teach you how to draw a comic, but is intended to demonstrate how to produce one.
Shawn Granton is a comic artist who has been self-publishing his comic TEN FOOT RULE since 1997. He also edits the comic anthology MODERN INDUSTRY. His comics and illustrations can regularly be seen in CLAMOR, RAZORCAKE, TOO MUCH COFFEE MAN, and READ magazines. Shawn is one of the organizers of the annual Portland Zine Symposium and is a staff member of the Independent Publishing
A donation of $3-10 is suggested. |
