Oppose the Bush administration's imperialist designs on Iraq! Join a rally on the south patio of the Illini Union (on the quad), at noon, on Monday, Oct. 7th. |
The Bush administration's planned imperialist oil-grab against Iraq can be stopped, but it requires the active intervention of working people and students everywhere. The Bush administration asks that Americans suspend their disbelief, buy into the new Fall Blockbuster, and sit quietly by while they slaughter tens or hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, even as the American economy falls to pieces under the weight of corporate criminality. Don't be fooled! Take a stand!
American lawmakers will be deciding this week whether or not, or how much, to support the Bush regime's open-ended war against the world. Come out on Monday and tell them "NO"!
Speakers:
Francis Boyle, prof. of international law, will launch his campaign to impeach President Bush at the rally.
Professor Miller, Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
Carl Estabrook, Green Party candidate for Congress in the 15th district.
Cosponsors: Muslim Student Association, A.W.A.R.E.,
Democratic Solidarity Committee, and the Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative. |
