November 1st Protest was held in the rain. P4P was especially pleased with a good attendance and the added appearance of a group of talented young girls who assisted with a large banner and led cheers to end the war and vote out Bush in 2004. |

Despite the rain a good group came out once again to Prospect for Peace Saturday November 1st. We are attracting many positive responses. Fliers were distributed answering questions about the US occupation of Iraq. Vocal cheers to stop the war, remove Bush and bring the troops home inspired the protestors. Many thumbs up from drivers passing by, for the large banner spelling........BUSH is a LIAR!
Next Protest December 6...... 2:00-4:00. See you then! |

Took part in this Saturday afternoon, drove all the way up from Charleston to take part (after going to the WEFT-FM record sale). I do plan to make it to the December protest! |

I consider degrading the American flag with a peace symbol to be a great insult to the country we live in. I hope you are not suggesting that the 50 states in this union are less important than your cause. If so, I would say you need to come back down to Earth off of your mighty soap box.
Regardless of how you feel about the President, if you consider him to be liar, or whatever. Placing him on a 'most wanted' card during a state of war is treasonous.
You have the right to a peaceful protest... why do you have this right? Because soldiers FOUGHT and DIED to give you that right. They did not give you your rights by peacefully protesting the crown of England. They gave you your rights by FIGHTING the British.
Practice your rights, please. But do it in a more respectful way without desecrating our great flag. Do it without commiting treason. Calling President Bush a liar is one thing, placing a bounty on his head is quite another. |
