IMC Librarians present an afternoon of thought provoking readings Satuday, May 3 at 4pm.
Local and Chicago area do-it-yourself publishers will be reading selections from their publications, called zines.
Following the reading, at 7PM there will be an opening reception for artist Julie Guyot. Julie's work will be on exhibit in the Middleroom Gallery for the month of May. |

The IMC Zine Reading is hosted by the IMC Librarians and the creators Zine Guide
Local and Chicago area do-it-yourself publishers will be reading selections from their publications, called zines.
Current lineup includes:
Kelly Carr and Kate Jones (Chicago), publishers of YA DA DO.
Ariel Clemenzi (Champaign), editor of WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE, co-author of RIVITER and ROCK OUT!
Brent Ritzel (Chicago), publisher of ZINE GUIDE and TAIL SPINS
A.j. Michel (Champaign), publisher of LOW HUG and various one-shot titles
Larry Roth (Chicago), publicher of 1544 ZINE
Jessica Disobedience (Chicago), publisher of SAFETY PIN GIRL
Brad Bugos (Champaign), editor of Silly Little Trouser Monkeys
Come for an afternoon of thought-provoking readings from these truly independent publishers!
