Sabaah Nuur!

  • ghostdance
  • Saturday 9-11am

This show is aimed at giving people a positive way to wake up, be motivated, enlightened, and inspired as they start their day. With the constant bombardment of consumerist adgendas, political overtones, and negative news throughout the entire day, and an overload of jokers and complainers all over the morning radio circuit, we hope that as the sun comes up and listeners get ready for work, school, and life, we leave them with a smile on their face, baraka (good energy) in their soul, and the knowledge and hope that each ay we can make the world a better place and ourselves better people. In the words of Blackalicious to say "Good Morning God!" instead of "Good God! - Morning."

In an effort to stear away from too much talkin' this show would primarily be music known to start the soul dancing, get the blood flowing, and get the mind thinking and imagining. Music that would light Lauryn's fire, if you know what I'm sayin'. The format of the music is primarily world, jazz, hip-hop, and classical. Sporadically the show would also drop some knowledge to assist people in getting through the rigours of life in this crazy world, in the form of poery, audio clips, literature excerpts, interesting tidbits of the news, occasional guest appearences, and also the word on the street. The audience for this show would include all ages and creeds, with the 1st Saturday of every month being dedicated to youth/children.
