The Art of " "
What does strategy really mean? We hear people speak of the world stage, the game, the lies, the war, space, etc. When do we ever consider strategy that pull all of these components together? When we start to consider that, we'll have a better understanding of anything. I heard my professor speak of "objective manifestation". This is something that comes to life whether it be through action, speech, wants or desire. The key to understanding what I'm trying to say is observation.
I speak of this because I talked about the war in Afghanistan, Iraq and Health Care reform. Believe me, we won't see the real motives behind all of this until things really hit the fan. However, its on us as citizens to create change, not the President. I'm talking about marching, speaking out and action as oppose to just talk amongst eachother. Forgive the codes through this blog, but tune in for more at 104.5 WRFU on Thursdays at 10pm-12am
Keeping it moving
Hello World,
Here we are in the year 2009 and so much has happened. Who can forget the election of the first African American President, Kayne's bad move, Hillary's temper revealed, Tiger's real hunger, The Celtic's, The Yankees, The Steelers and the discovery of water on the moon just to name a few. I mean really...it's been a good one, but what's important is to not get distracted by all of the things going on in the world from things going on in the life. Whose life? Mine and yours. With all the dreams I have, the things I want to do, the goals I must achieve, the obstacles I must overcome...I must remember to maintain my focus. So to everybody...keep it moving.
Gangster Rap and Politics
The political climate has been a bit warm lately. Gun slingers showing up to town hall meetings where the president chooses to speak, citizens wearing t-shirts that read "proud member of the mob" while some citizens choose to snatch posters from the hands of healthcare supporters in fear that the poster might cause some citizens to actually "think".
I can't help but wonder "what's all the fuss about". I'm I not in an uproar like some citizens because I don't have as much money the government can tax like others? Or is it that I actually feel that this is the direction the nation needs to take? Especially with lead indicators like the depletion of Social Security.
We give WallStreet executives millions of dollars in hope that they can save us from an economic downturn, but they run to Hawaii or Las Vegas with the money instead. However, we become angrier when there's a chance a citizen who's less fortunate can have health care on the expense of "us" as well.
So on the night of August 19th, I felt the need to play Ganster Rap and talk about the political climate regarding the ever controversial Healthcare Plan. Its getting a bit crazy, so make sure you're ready when ships begin to sink.*Peace
On the Air
It finally happened. I'm not sure if anyone was listening, but I went "on the air" on August 15th, 2009 between 3 and 5pm. I first introduced a song titled "Going Public", because that's what I did. I'm here to raise awareness on issues that threaten us as citizens and the freedom we love. I do not want to be "that guy" that only talks the talk, but I want to walk the walk as well. I'm on to something and many others are on to it as well. I cited legislators in Pennsylvania, Kansas and Missouri that have introduced legislation to prohibit people from being required to have microchips implanted in them and states such as California, North Dakota and Wisconsin that actually prohibit it. If you want to know more about this issue. Visit www.antichip.com
First Day
Hello "World",
Today is August 15th, 2009 which marks my first day as a member of the Independent Media Center and the radio station WRFU 104.5. My weekly show is titled "The Movement". "The Movement" addresses current and developing issues that affect "you" as a citizen. One of the goals of "The Movement" is to preserve civil liberties and democracy by providing you information thats intentionally or unintentionally placed on the back burner because of the political economy of the media. Please tune in on Wednesdays at 9pm-11pm and Thursdays at 10pm-12am to free your mind and letting the rest follow.
